Our History
Opened in 2017, Isola has built a loyal following among locals and visitors alike.  Isola stays open during the entire year (and remained open through the pandemic to serve the community). A welcoming place, the restaurant and bar welcomes patrons to the 135-seat space featuring indoor and outdoor seating.  Isola has a traditional bar and a wood-fired brick oven overlooking the dining room.  The outdoor seating includes a side patio and a traditional front porch.  The restaurant is housed in a beautiful historical building located on Grand Avenue in Historic Shelter Island Heights and walking distance from the Shelter Island North Ferry.

About The Owner
Isola is owned and operated by Shelter Island lover, Brad Kitkowski. A former commercial insurance executive, he opened Isola to serve the island with a place with great food while keeping it fun!  He is often heard saying “I wanted to open a place on Shelter Island that I would want to go to!”  An Italian food lover, the restaurant features fresh seafood, local ingredients, and Italian favorites.
